Monica is wearing... Kolibri by Sophie Harley

This week Monica is wearing 2 of the 15 pieces from the stunning Kolibri collection by Sophie Harley. This collection is an exclusive collaboration between Sophie and CRED. Made from Oro Verde Fair Trade 18ct Yellow Gold this unique are inspired by the rain forest, which can be seen through the motifs of leaves, vines, hummingbirds and seeds.

As well as being worn by the women of CRED Sophie has a extraordinary private following of celebrities and clients including Joss Stone, Kate Beckinsale and Jerry Hall. And Sophie exclusively designed  jewellery for the 2 latest James Bond films, Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace. With all this on her CV we don't need any persuading. Meet Annabel

Annabel Panes came to CRED two years ago and has been creating stunning fair trade and ethical collections since. These include the Penelope collection and Saphara collection. The Pipal bangle was recently worn by Amanda Holden. Annabel also designs various engagement rings in the Eden collection this includes the Afro Cocktail. Annabelis based in the London Studio and works mainly on Bespoke designs helping customers to create unique and one off pieces from their original ideas. 


When you were younger what did you want to be?

When I was younger I think I wanted to be an artist... oh or a nurse,always loved playing doctors and nurses! 

What book are you reading at the moment?

I am reading The Chronicles of Narnia, I am currently reading The Horse and His Boy.

Mobile, lip balm, keys, wallet, book

What is your music guilty pleasure?

i've had the time of my life from Dirty Dancing! 

What is you first jewellery memory? 

Playing with my mum's engagement and wedding ring. My Mum has a beautiful cabochon-ruby ring, which I always loved putting on my fingers.

If you could steal anyone’s jewellery who would it be?  

My Granny's 

What piece of jewellery can’t you live without? 

My Granny's champagne twizler.

What is piece from your own collection are you wearing at the moment? 

I am wearing a locket and sliver Saphara hoops

And lastly why Fair trade/Ethical?  

Fair trade because it benefits every person in the process. I love the idea of families being able to live independent, self-sustaniable lives. As a consumer we have the power to change the way business is done, which is why fair trade is the way forward!
